Calls for Integrity, Efficiency, and Empathy in Public Service

Srinagar, Aug 15 (KNO): Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg today hoisted the National Flag at the office premises at Amar Niwas Complex, Srinagar, as part of a ceremonial function to mark Independence Day. On the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner received the salute from a contingent of the CRPF. Addressing the gathering, Div Com Kashmir underscored the significance of Independence Day, saying that the occasion reminds us of the immense sacrifices made by the freedom fighters for the nation. He also noted that the country is commemorating the 150th year of the National Song making this I-Day more significant. He said the day serves as a reminder of the ideals, values and principles enshrined in the Constitution. Emphasizing the importance of ethical and effective public administration, he called upon officers and officials to uphold integrity, enhance efficiency, make greater use of technology and demonstrate empathy towards the public in order to strengthen people's trust in government institutions. He urged employees to adopt a citizen-centric approach in the discharge of their duties and ensure timely, efficient and responsive delivery of public services. The function was attended by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo, Additional Commissioner Kashmir, ACC, officers and officials of the Divisional and District Administrations, besides security officers. Earlier, the Divisional Commissioner hoisted the National Flag at his official residence Sonwar, Srinagar, to mark the proud occasion of Independence Day—(KNO)
